We’re hiring.

Founder and Artistic Director, Stephanie Martinez is seeking dancers for a new creation that will premier in an outdoor performance series on October 3rd and 4th. The rehearsal process will be both online and in-person. Project and audition details listed below. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. 

You must be in the Chicago area beginning September 19th for socially distanced in-person rehearsals. If you are traveling from a COVID-19 hotspot, you will be required to quarantine for 14 days before in-person rehearsals begin. All dancers will be asked to provide a negative COVID-19 test result before in-person rehearsals start (resources and support will be provided). You must be available all day Friday, October 2 - Sunday October 4th. 

Audition Material Deadline: Monday, August 31st, 2020

Audition Checklist: 

1. Learn and film the phrase posted on our IG LIVE

2. Complete and film the additional tasks given at the end of the IG LIVE

3. Film 30 seconds of improvisation

4. List any commitments and/or conflicts that you may have from September 7th - October 4th.

When You Will Be Notified: Wednesday, September 2nd

Project Meeting with Dancers and Artistic Staff (Online): Friday, September 4th

Online Rehearsals Begin: Monday, September 7th

Staggered In-Person Rehearsals Begin: Saturday, September 19th

Full Company Rehearsals Begin: Thursday, September 24th

Location Set-Up & Dress Rehearsal: Friday, October 2nd

Performances

• October 3rd - two performances

• October 4th - two performances

Compensation

• Dancers will rehearse no more than 60 hrs between Friday, September 4th - Friday, October 2nd. 

• $1,500 for rehearsal period

• $100 stipend per performance

Audiences and artists will be responsibly socially-distanced and current “Be Safe Chicago” safety guidelines will be observed.
